Basic theme of such activities is to provide a platform for local communities to aware them about importance of peace and tolerance. People have learnt how to mitigate the local issues creating hate and lack of acceptance in society. SDF conducts training sessions with the members of newly established WAKs aiming to provide them knowledge to find out possible solutions of issues at local level and how they can contribute for mitigation of issues related to violence and extremism.

SDF realizes on better delivery of knowledge to local communities by obtaining various techniques. Interactive theater is best option to deliver the message of peace and harmony. SDF has organized interactive theaters in all villages where WAKs have been established. Artists of the theater group performed on the issues related to violence and extremism. People from villages show good response about their understanding on the importance of Peace, tolerance and interfaith harmony.

Another important activity to spread the message of peace in the society is to organize “Poetry Festivals” at village level. SDF organizes Poetry festivals and invites local and national poets to talk about peace and harmony. Similarly, sports festivals are being organized to attract the youth of local areas.

Overall purpose of all activities is to strengthen WAKs for better provision of services to local communities. Basically, each WAK will be a representative committee of village that will perform various activities to promote the message of Peace and Tolerance.  This committee will be responsible to find out issues related to peace and will mitigate at local level.
