Improving health of transgenders by enhancing their access to formal health and nutrition services (Completed)

SDF has implemented a project for most vulnerable community “Improving health of transgenders by enhancing their access to formal health and nutrition services” as pilot at Rural Health Centre (RHC) Khanqah Sharif of District Bahawalpur with the financial support of Palladium Pakistan. The aim of the project was to improve utilization of services of public sector health facilities for transgenders. The project was dealing with health and nutrition issues of transgender community.

Life Line Campaign: (Completed)

Samaj Development Foundation successfully completed two-year Lifeline Campaign – Edutainment on SRHR. A Communication Project on “Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights” in Lodhran District with the financial assistance of Women’s Empowerment Group Lahore. Major objective of this project was to create enough political will at federal and provincial level politicians, opinion leaders, policy makers and normative authorities for the Ministerial commitment to the introduction of a comprehensive SRHR curriculum for all relevant adolescents school grades; and create a favorable environment at district levels for its implementation.

Awareness Campaign against Dengue (Completed)

SDF launched awareness campaign against dengue in different government and private boys & girls schools and colleges through awareness sessions. Basic theme of campaign was to aware youth especially students of educational institutes about precautionary measures for the prevention from Dengue.

Health & Hygiene Project (Completed)

SDF implemented a project on health & hygiene awareness program with the flood affected community of five union councils of Tehsil Rahim yar khan with the financial assistance of Young Man Society.
